OUR Story

My Faith story started out as a young child. God began to whisper my name (like Samuel) in many ways with special touches that drew my heart to Him. A love for Music was a special early gift He gave me that I would use throughout my life. Through Kids Choirs,learning Guitar for youth gatherings, leading Campers in Jesus Choruses at Bonfires, and singing solos performing in Gospel groups singing in Choirs; it was truly a joy! It appeared Ihad a great relationship with Christ. Many knew me for my church relationships, yet from time to time, I began to ponder, is this all that God desires? Over time the Holy Spirit would nudge me toward something more, something deeper. Yet many times I would shrug it off and keep going.

Then without seeing it, a Spiritual hurricane surfaced on my horizon. Through a series of life challenges, God shook me to my core. I did not lose Faith, but the structures of my faith were shaken to its foundation. God desired to rebuild me in His Image from the ground up. He wanted to transform my heart and mind from the inside out… to be reborn for His purpose.

I began a study of Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. In the study I understood that my “ministry” was not about using my “gifts and asking God to bless me in my endeavors. It was about God was already at work around me and He was asking me to join Him in His purpose. The Holy Spirit helped me to understand that to experience God and have an intimate relationship with Him, I needed to know Him through the lens of His Word, By doing this, I would know His Heart and Mind, and that would transform mine.
